If the ultimate dream is to go to Disney and marvel amongst the wonders of all things fantastical then this dream has just got ultimate with the introduction of “mermaid schools” at four of Walt Disney Worlds resorts this spring.

Fans of “The Little Mermaid” will be able to register to the “Mermaid Schools” this year at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club resorts.

The hour long lesson for children aged 4 and above will include tuition on how to swim like Ariel whilst being fitted with a tail.


This “Little Mermaid” inspired swimming idea is not a new concept last year Hotels.com launched Mermaid classes at selected resorts including Spain, Mexico and Japan where Planet Mermaid were delighted when they were asked to be the preferred supplier of tails.


The activity was so popular that according to the hotel booking platform, 46 per cent of holiday-goers would book a holiday just to take part in a mermaid fitness class, while 37 per cent believe that mermaids actually exist.

These hour sessions are with an experienced mermaid instructor who will teach you all the mermaid moves. Not only that you will have the opportunity to swim in a mermaid tail and fin to ensure you get that VIP mermaid experience.
